Christina McClelland is an MFA candidate in Printmedia at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She received a BFA in Printmaking from the University of Iowa. Her work incorporates printmaking, installation, video, and animation to explore themes of control, nostalgia, domesticity, romance, and memory. Christina's work has been exhibited throughout the Midwest, notably at the Des Moines Art Center and bemisUNDERGROUND in Omaha, Nebraska, as well as in Croatia. She has also worked as Arts Coordinator for Project Art at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, IA and as Project Coordinator for The Daily Palette, a website project featuring the work of a different Iowa artist every day.
